“Maybe we should revisit it after the holidays.”
About Noter
The meeting is an input. The follow-through is the work.
Noter is a macOS meeting assistant that records without sending a bot, writes the notes, separates real commitments from loose conversation, and prepares the work that follows. It is built for people whose day depends on remembering what they promised across many relationships.
Preserve the ambiguity. Do not invent the task.
A useful system knows when the evidence is insufficient.
Most meeting tools optimize the summary. Noter optimizes the handoff: what was decided, what is still open, what you actually committed to, and which next step is safe to prepare.
Microphone and system audio are captured on the Mac.
A commitment needs first-person evidence before it becomes yours.
Sending, deleting, paying, and overwriting cannot be silently granted away.
The shipped product is a signed, notarized Apple Silicon desktop app.
Why it exists
Capture became table stakes. Context and judgment did not.
A transcript can tell you what was said. It cannot, by itself, decide whether “we should” was a decision, whether “after the holidays” means a due date, or whether a suggested CRM update is safe to file.
Noter keeps those distinctions visible. It carries the quote, person, meeting, and unresolved detail forward so confirmation is a click—not a reconstruction of the conversation.
The product boundary
Narrow actions, grounded in real work.
Noter is not trying to become a general computer-use agent. It starts with meeting-derived context and uses that context to prepare specific work across the apps and files you choose.
Bring forward the few facts that change the meeting.
Calendar context, people, prior conversations, files, and open commitments become a concise brief.
Keep the transcript and your own judgment together.
Live transcription, typed notes, custom vocabulary, and questions about the conversation stay available while it is happening.
Prepare the deliverable, then show the reason.
Tasks, messages, documents, and connected-app changes remain grounded in the meeting and gated by risk.
